Im going to be barrel racing a chesnutpain this s1009 show season and l want a colour that will just stand out on him, any ideas??

first of all. it wo not show me the pic.
and my show color is burgundy/red for my chestnut!
they really stand out and match.
but l think maybe pink would stand out more

But to find a color that will ''pop'' u need to understand color just a bit. Go find a website with a color wheel. There r lots of them so u may have to look at a couple to find one that will work for you.
Try & find the color of ur horse on the wheel. Then look directly opposite on the wheel & u will find the color that will most clearly show against ur horse is color.
Since chesnut is a red based color the opposite color will be a green based color.

l thing purple would be a cool Color that would pop

l used to show a chesnut and l always used hunter green on him. It is a darker color and just blends well. You could also go to a local tack shop and just browse and see if you see any colors that you think would really work for his coloring.

If you want to ''pop'' then you need a color that will stand out. Lots of color choices are good for a chestnut/sorrel but if you want something to stand out, go for bright/neon colors. Hot Pink, Neon, Bright Yellow, Royal Blue. Or go with something SHINY and sparkley, like Alamo Saddlery is ICE collection. Have fun and turn and burn! :-)

Definitely Royal Blue. l used to have a mare that l evented and her cross country color was royal blue. We got tons of compliments on how good it looked.

l have a chestnut that l event on so for cross country l want a color that will really pop too!

l used to use Hunter Green but l decided it was too dark. There r three colors l really like that totally pop on chestnuts:
1. Purple!!!! This looks amazing if u go with just a royal purple color! (This is what l use)
2. Red. a Bright red looks really good on chestnuts too especially if u pair it with black as a secondary color.
3. Royal blue paired with white as a secondary color. This looks pretty good on chestnuts 2!

A girl at my barn has a chestnut and she always ''dresses '' him in a bright royal blue- he looks just like Secretariat with those colors! Please avoid yellow- it looks nasty on a chestnut!

l also have a chestnut. the colors that l use that really stand out on him are.teal blue, hunter green, mint green, lilac purple. Good Luck! :D

l really like royal blue on chestnuts. Though black and white is a classic you can not go wrong with

l know a lot of chestnut horses. Colors that POP on them are red, hunter green and purple. They look really good on them. Hope this helped.
