Ok, well...l am making a website supporting the ''wild'' mustangs that the BLM plans on killing. l have researched this MANY times, and even have my own WILD and CRAZY mustang. l need some public input, so if you could please comment on how you feel about AML act. There are plenty of websites out there and mine is not going to make any difference, but l will still show people what will happen if we do not do anything about it.l have signed petitions and wrote to the president.If nothing changes, l will stil know that l tried!
thanks loggy, l thought l mentioned the slaughter issue, but l didn't.Yes, l agree that there are too many horses and the population needs to downsize.Slaughter is just inhumane.

How will creating a web site have any effect on BLM plans?

l think it is so great that u r doing this!
You know, people think we r just all that, but we r just another animal! The only difference, we think we own the world, & we r killing it is natural beauty!The animals were there first!Sadly, that means that because of us, many creature is lives have been destroyed. So, we r the only ones who can fix our own damage. the BLM is not all bad. they r actually preserving the land by keeping the numbers down a little, they make sure that there is water, grass, & land enough to support those who need to live there. But, they have gone way past keeping the numbers manageable! They've taken on the job of keeping them low enough that they can afford to loose their land, & develop it! And now, they r killing them, because they have rounded too many up, & trying to keep mares from foaling by introducing hormones that made them foal in winter, & most foals die in the cold, with too little food!Nature set up the horses lives so that they could thrive, & we r just wrecking it all! As an avid horse lover, l think we really need to stop this garbage! We can not let wild horses become extinct! They r too great a symbol, too great an icon to all who know horses! We need to treat them as what they are: fellow animals. You know if they were humans, the idea of capturing them, & killing them would be considered wrong in the modern world! SO why is it so different with the horses?Are we really still barbaric enough to let this go on?

But l think the plan is fine. Would u rather these horses be put down or die painful deaths. Yea 30,000 mustangs seems like alot, but in reality they r either going to starve to death, end up slaughter bound, or being killed off.

You need to be more worried about the issue with horses going to slaughter. There is probably hundreds if not more each week, horses that got thrown away, some rideable, some beloved pets, dieing a very painful scary death.

and also if somehow 30,000 mustangs could be placed (now remember these horses will need training, fairrer care, home is with experienced people, vet care etc), that would mean probably a good 30,000 horses that go to slaughter. Mustangs that end up in bad homes, & regular horses. It is hard enough right now to place one well broke rideable horse without practically giving it away.

you really need to look into the whole deal before u start the ''OMG save the mustangs'' thing. There is no wear to place 30,000 horses, & the slaughter issue is so much bigger.

l think its horrible and needs to stop.

If you want it to stop, the only thing you can do is buy land and take in the horses.

There are people and organizations who do this they collect funds to buy large plots of land, fence around it all, and let the horses live ''wild'' in their giant pastures.
