l am going to be buying all of my training tools from Parelli is website and l was looking at buying a Fluidity Saddle too. I am not sure though if l wanna spend $3,096 on a saddle. l says that you can try the saddle, which l am thinking about doing, but l wanna know what other people think of it. Is it worth what you pay?Is it comfortable for you and your horse? Could any other saddle do just as good?
Thanks:) Please do not tell me not to waste my money on Parelli. l have my mind set on that and in my opinion his training methods are very effective, even though they cost a lot. Saddles though... l do not quite have my mind made up yet. Thats why I am asking this question:P

a freaking 3k saddle?!?!?! are you kidding me!?? no way.. l would not pay that much for a saddle even if l was over my head in money. Parelli is a JOKE! l would not buy any of his things to begin with.
Good luck to ya!
**ADD** Sorry, but all the ''parelli'' horses l have met are either lazy or have no manners what so ever. l have never seen any of his methods TRULY work. If you have, good for you. l hope that you have good luck with. :)

If you're willing to spend that kind of money, l'd do some earnest comparison shopping. Look at the McCall Wade saddles - best fit I've every found for my terrible to fit gelding & beautifully made. Awesome ride. l lost faith in Parelli several years ago when it became apparent he'd gone the brand marketing route. He truly hikes his prices up about 300% over their wholesale value. How can u trust someone who does that? l asked myself that question & realized l couldn't. Also, in the last few years he is become much more gimmicky, like calling a bosal-curb-bit whatever combination bridle ''natural''. There r a lot of saddles that could do just as good & u can get a lot more saddle for that budget.

well first of all why would anyone put THAT MUCH MONEY ON A SADDLE!!!!! moving on training isnt about the tools you use its about the teqniqe a horse with 7k could come out the same amount of horse as one with 50 buck but if you think you need it and after you try it if it works you so try it out and if it realy helps get it. boost the economy will u.

This one is supposed to be similar.
Personally, if l could spend any amount of money on a saddle, l would get the Tad Coffin A5 that is custom fitted specifically to my horse. ($4500 for that!)

l truly believe that he has an effective saddle, however, l also think that you're not paying for the saddle. l think that you'd be primarily paying for having his name on your saddle.
The saddle would be a worthwhile purchase, but there are many similar saddles that would be affective in training your horse that are not going to cost you an arm and a leg.

l agree with Halely, l think any good fitting saddle is going to be fine. You might want to consider that, for various reasons, u may need to sell this saddle & get another one. While used saddles r not hard to sell, by the tenor of these comments, u may have trouble getting a reasonable price for ur used Parelli saddle, whereas a more mainstream maker might get u better resale value. That might make the difference between spending 3k on a saddle that will only resale at less than half that, & spending 3k on a saddle that will keep more than half it is value.

Wow, that is an expensive saddle. l have found that while u do get what u pay for, once u hit the $2000.00 range & up they tend to be very similar in quality & bang for ur buck. The exception is, as always a ''custom'' saddle made specifically for u & ur horse. In that case if u can afford several thousand u should because saddle fit for u both is integral.
Instead of going by name l recommend u decide on a saddle for it is fit & features. If l were buying the saddle l would be concerned with a few main things. They are: 1. How it fits my horse 2. how it fits me 3. the position the saddle puts me in 4. quality of materials 5. type of tree (and the material it is made of) 6. general riding purpose of the saddle (dressage, jumping, barrel racing, reining, etc).
Here is why: 1. If the saddle does not fit ur horse properly then u can cause physical injury, up to & including lameness is & back injury's, muscle atrophy, & soreness. You could also cause the animal to be ''saddle shy'' & not want to be saddled at all! 2/3. If the saddle does not fit u properly u will be in the wrong position & ride in an unbalanced manner. Also if u r in the wrong position u could be putting pressure in places of the horse is back that pressure does not belong (like the kidneys or spine) which in turn can cause injury. Also not being in a proper position can cause YOU injury too! 4. Just because it is a brand name does not mean it is constructed of quality materials. Look for good leather, correct stitching, a solid tree, etc. 5. Is the tree made of wood, ralide, plastic, rawhide covered or metal? Each one has it is pro is & con's. In general a quality wood tree in an english saddle is perfectly acceptable. 6. The type of riding u do will determine the style saddle u choose since different disciplines require u to be in slightly different positions & occasionally require u to make modified movements Think about a ''two point'' position in jumping, & trying to do it in a roping saddle. It looks ok, but not worth that amount of money. Although in the picture they r using for advertising the person is legs r out of alignment & when l took a closer look many of the ''parelli'' line look as though they push ur legs forward & seat back, putting u out of line & out of balance. Why not check Dover Saddlery out for some more options?

l thought for those unfamiliar with Parelli I'd post their website.
One of the reasons their pricing is so ''out there'' is that the saddles r made in Germany. What, Parelli does not trust our American craftsmanship? If somebody is looking for a western saddle & wants one custom made, what is so bad with some where like Circle Y or Broken Horn???

OMG PARELL l IS LIKE MAGIC!!!! for all u snooty people out there who dont know anything about parelli but still degrage it, go shove it. yes all of the parelli stuff is overpriced, but his training is flawless.
i am a parelli student myself. the fluidity saddles r extremely high priced. l use a regular saddle & my horse & l r fine. im not sure if u should buy one. in my opinion they r a bit superfluous. plus u do alot of stuff without saddles in level 3. l would say get other parelli stuff except the saddle

Just till them the right tree for your horse and both you and your horse will have the most coumfyest ride ever

It is a lot of money for a saddle that has not been proven to perform better than many saddles available w/o the 'parelli' on them.
I've seen his methods work (and at work). Oddly enough they put him where he is today WITHOUT his over-priced current equipment. Just something to consider. . .

To be honest, l do not own a Parelli saddle (yet). l do know people who have them & they say they r amazing. If the saddle (well, the pad) is shimmed properly, the saddle helps ur horses topline. Also, the saddle aids in putting u on ur balance point which makes u more stable once u get used to it. l have sat in them many times & l always hate going back to my HDR. l am a Parelli official Level 2/3 student how buys her own equipment. l have researched other saddles & l still think the Parelli saddle is worth what u r getting. Plus it comes with a great warrenty
