l was woundering what you think of this horses confirmation. His name is Hunter, 6 year old, Thoroughbred/Quarter Horse Cross. He is trianed in Western, but we are trianing him in to English. What do you think are some flaws in his confirmation, etc... Yes l no he is Fat, but he has been in a pasture for 2 years. He is never hyper or crazy. He had not been ridden in 1 year and my coach got on him and he was wounderful, no cro hopingor spooking. Really l was just woundering what you though of him.

l have ridden him before a couple of times, he is a great boy, smoth mover.
Oh no thats my blanket l bought for him, it was -30C outside and l felt bad for him!
For training Hunter, we are getting him trained for 3 months 3-4 a week. In the ends its around $400 if he gets ridden 4 times a week for one Month. So around$1,200 to train him. Pretty good deal if you ask me. His price was pretty good to so we have dicided to snap him up. :D

He is beautiful. And it sound like you've done your research and are prepared. Go with first impressions, in that he let you ride him the first time you met him. Best wishes to you and your new companion in the years to come. l am sure he will give you much joy and happiness.

AWWW.he is a very pretty boy ^^ l like his eyes.they tell alot about a horse. l see nothing majorly wrong with conformation. l have a beginner is eye in the conformation area, but to me he has a nice shoulder (not straight). l do think he is kinda long between the fetlock & hoof ( l feel stupid not knowing what that is called :P) Though, l do not know if that really will be any hindeance or not. He seems like a sweet horse.good luck xD

** l think it is called the pastern (on his back legs) lol

Aww he is very cute!
and very ''broad'' haha.

make sure when u buy him blankets ( if they dont sell his to you)
that the blanket has ''gussets'' so that those big shoulders have room to move XD

hes got nice big feet to fit his body l think he looks great, maybe if he sheds a few pounds, gets a main pull l think you've got a nice project on ur hands.

i bought my horse a year ago & he was sick & trained western
and l trained him over again in dressage & hunter/jumper.

it takes a few months for them to break the western habbits
(no contact, jogging, loping, trantering ect ect.)

just remember keep pushing forward & working on it.

good luck with ur new boy, :) !

He is adorable, you are very lucky to have found such a good looking horse with what sounds like a good temperament.

Good Luck with him.

PLEASE READ THE WHOLE ANSWER THAT l WROTE!

What a cutie pie! Seriously! For not being ridden for 1 year he looks good! Anyways.Training a horse that is Western to do English, is a big change especially if ur planning on jumping in the future. l have trained a Western horse to do English & it was not easy. It sounds like u have a trainer to help u train though so that is a big plus. Also a big investment. Training costs a lot of money. About the same as lessons. So u will be paying for lessons (if u want to ride the horse right, l recommend taking lessons) boarding, & training if not more. This can be around $4000 a month where l live. l live where it is pretty average. So l would defiantly consider him but not jump the gun. Look around a little more, maybe u can find another horse that is already trained so u can limit ur costs. On the other hand if u have a TON of money or money is not an issue, go for it. Its always wonderful to have a project horse. l love being able to say that l helped train my horse. :) Hope l helped & have fun yet be safe!!! :)

l do not particularly like his conformation. He is pretty post-legged in the hind end. He is over at the knee, and looks like he may stand under himself, although that might just be the photos too. He has a straight shoulder too. Cute horse but no legs, no horse. I'd keep looking.

Far too high for that horse. Sorry, but ignore anyone who calls him a 'cutie'. Look first at his conformation He is post legged short necked upright in the shoulder, with front legs too far underneath (look at how they r angled back). A horse like this trained is worth about $500 to $800 for a trail mount. You will be spending more than he is worth on training. Shoot l have an upcoming 4 year old GAITED Missouri fox trotter that l will sell for $1200 this spring as a KIDS horse. Absolutely gentle & loves people. Oh & he is blue papered with good conformation. His head is a little larger than preferred but not bad.
