You can be mean... l do not mind.
But READ THIS FIRST:
We only trail ride. l do not plan on jumping him, or any other horse, in the show ring. I've never taken a jumping lesson in my life. l have no idea how to do a proper two-point. l lean forward with the horse, release at the right time, and l do not get left behind. That is enough for me. And as for him, he has not been worked with at all. The jump in the picture is his first real jump. Before that, we had only messed around with cavalettis and jumped over small logs on the trail.
I am just curious to find out what people think of HIS jump. Not mine.
I've seen him escape out of a 3-foot arena, and he cleared it. He took it almost from a standstill. The jump in the picture is about 1' - 1'6. He is 13.3hh, and I am 5'4, so we make everything look bigger.
PS... l know he is overjumping.

He has nice scope, his knees r uneven but that is expected since he is new but they certainly r not bad. It is not really fair to judge the horse on such a messy jump though. He is not wearing a jumping saddle or jump boots. You certainly r not off his back which is not going to help him improve. He is in a western bridle not made for jumping & has a big release. If he were to be jumped with less mess, he would probably to better. l know u only wanted opinion on the horse, but the two r directly related.
By the way, wear a helmet when u ride, especially jumping. Do u want to fall off & thrash ur head on a rail?

WOW LOVE YOUR HORSE. and your great just sitting there letting him get on with it. the only thing that l can see is that his front legs are not tucked but the jump is small so it is all relative. send him over a bigger jump and see how those legs react. l bet he'd tuck them up lovely.

For his first jump he looks good. He has a nice quiet eye & his form is not bad for a first timer. Ideally, u want the front lgs to be even. The first time a horse takes a jump he usually overjumps it, so do not worry about that. You have a nice loose rein, but just remember that if u land hard on the horse is back u can cause him injury. l highly recommend wearing a helmet, especially when jumping a green horse. Many horse that r new to jumping buck after a jump for fun & it would not be good to fall on ur head! If u were to take some jumping lessons l think u could have a beautiful jumper. Oh, & do not rush to the big jumps. Keep them small until he is comfortable jumping. Work him up to bigger jumps.

He certainly is not bad. He has nice scope and his knees are tucked well for his first time.

he is got a good jump and good conformation for jumping. He took off really long though, so it would be easy for him to have knocked the rail down. But it is good. you're position is good too, especially for bareback! have fun!

Personally, for a first timer l think he looks fabulous!
Over jumping is a given for a green horse. they tend to until they figure out they do not need to. And, I'd much rather have one that over jumps compared to one who is lazy & kicks rails.
He is got decent form for a beginner. his knees r up, not level. but that improves with experience. His lower leg is a bit loose. again comes with experience.
He is nice & round & has good scope, his head/neck could stretch out more over top, but it is not bad.
His bit is not a good one for jumping, but u gave him lots of rein so l am not too worried.
He is a cutie for sure. if u did decide to take lessons or compete on him, you'd have a good time & could win.
The only other thing is l suggest a helmet while jumping. It is very dangerous & just one fall could seriously injure you.
