I am getting too big for my current horse and l would like to loan him out and loan another horse in to replace him, as the current economic climate just is not good AT ALL for selling (not that l have to tell you guys that...), but i've found loads of people that are interested in loaning... my parents say that they'd prefer to sell because what if the people who loan him give him back and then we have two horses that need livery, riding etc, when we only have time for the one... what do you guys think? do you think it is worth loaning him out and so do not have to wait so long for him to go to a good home or just go the whole hog and try and sell him in this economic situation? l do not think selling is a good idea right now because the horse market is really bad. But if you really want to, l would wait until the spring to put him on the market because it is a better time to sell. Loaning out would probably be better. Maybe you could work out a loan-to-sell kind of deal with the loaner. l would definitely wait to sell. Good luck! :)

Loaning him would be a fantastic idea! In today is market you wo not get nearly around what he should be worth. Also if they do give him back, just find another loaner. If you already have loads of people looking into loaning him then that should not be a problem.

Also just make sure you check out the facilties, background on them, and either check on your horse or call every fortnight.

Maybe you could look into horse trade. Some people who are looking to sell their horse and get a new one do this. You look for someone who is selling their horse and then you trade horses if both of you like the horse that one another has. l am sure that there are internet sites out there that have this. It is nice because then both of you do not have to spend time buying and selling. It is a negotiation so that two people can both get a horse that they want. Hope this helps! =)
