hil have a 7yo stanardbred his geting his main plaited and tailwith Mack upwhat else would make him stand out also his still having trouble cantering as he was a pacer any ideas please help meits 2 weeks away !!!!!!!!aus

my friend has a standard bred and she does alot of circle work with him. maybe clip some starts into his rump to standout more. when he starts to pace go back to the walk and try again in circles.

Get an instructor.

like chez said a lot of Circle work rely dose work figure of 8s are the best as the horses does not get os bored like he would if he just when round and round in a Circle as for making him stand out try plating ribbons in his/her hair or just keep him well groomed because he will get noted when he wins so do not give up

To stand out, get into a good grooming routine at home. Groom well & thoroughly EVERY DAY. A quick saddle-area-only cleanup daily & a bath the day before a show helps, but what would u be like if that is all u did with ur own body? Right - so treat the horse the same way. And it is never too late to start.

And do not rush that training. Be patient. You do not want to stand out because u pushed ur horse too far! There will always be another show. Relax & have fun!!
