idk what to do because were running low on money so we need to sell our2 year old arabian filly ASAP! we only want $350 for her because thats what we paid. shes a really sweet horse but shes not 2 until march so she isnt broke yet, will we have any luck selling her? how do l find her a home?

The only thing l would have to say is be careful who buys her. $350 is a very low price, the sort of price that attracts slaughter houses.

Try equine.com , dreamhorse.com , horseweb.com . Please thoroughly screen your prospective buyers so she does not wind up in a double decker to a slaughter plant in Mexico.

If your filly is a purebred with decent lines or is registerable (which l doubt given the price you paid for her) you should not have a problem finding her a home. Also check out the rescues in your area.

Just pop her online & put up fliers in ur local feed stores & things.

If u do not have the $$ to pay for a picture ad - u can create ur own website at site builders like tripod.com for free & then put up the pictures & all the info or u can make a video on youtube.com then u can put the web address in the ad.

l would suggest using dreamhorse.com, horsetopia.com, equinehits.com, equine.com, & craigslist.com.

In this market $350 is about right. Just try to get as much advertising out there as possible. You can also contact ur local 4H & pony club organizations & see if they accept advertisements.

is it the $350 that you need or just can not keep her? if you still want her you can talk to the nearest spca to see if they could find a foster home for a few months or log her onto the classifieds in Castanet (Kelowna is homepage) people sell stuff there all the time (if you're in kelowna) Good Luck!

Could you hang on to her and break her first? Or loan her out for a while if feed is hard to pay for. Or is it that you need the money from her?

Be carefull of slaughter houses!
Advertise her in the local paper and visit the farms of people who would want her also if a person can only pay $200 but it is a good home please consider it!
