because they are only 45 dollars and l am on a tight budget. But AFTER l ordered them l got a slip in the mail that said they are sold out/discontinued. So the next cheapest dress boots l can find ANYWHERE are 140 dollars! Do any of you know somewhere that l can get some cheap dress boots?
If not, are field boots acceptable in english pleasure/equitation/hunter classes?
Ya im in theUS butl dont think we have a primark... at least not that l know of.

And l doubt walmart or payless has them....

okay l dunno where your from but cos u said dollars im think america do you have a primark over there? If you do then try it as primark sells EVERYTHING (if you find a big gd one which is usually v easy) and its sooooooooo cheap! good lyk xx

Yeah, dress boots are not cheap, l am afraid. l think for your budget, you might be best off looking on eBay or else waiting for another sale at Dover or maybe State Line Tack. Did you try going to Google Shopping?

l can understand you being on a tight budget, but buying cheap boots will come back to haunt you. They may not wear well & can hurt your feet badly because of the plastic material used. Having said that, I'd shop at Payless or Wal*Mart for boots, as they always have lots to choose from. Buy a can of water repellant for them, (at Wal*Mart in the shoe/boot section) to avoid water stains, & to keep your feet dry. Good luck!

l was told that unless u r showing dressage, field boots r the way to go.

Measure yourself very carefully, then haunt e-bay. You can often find some that r just broken in, in good shape, for a lot less than new. (There is no way you're going to find what you're looking for at Walmart of payless!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)

Do ask the seller questions, & do measure carefully.

l have one pair of Devon-aire l bought, did not realize the ''wide'' meant wide calf, so they r too big, but they were new for like $99. l also have some Ariats that fit much better (my second try), they r great boots, also were $99.

You could also try Craigslist ( l just bought my daughter some really nice Ariat winter boots for $60), or consignment shops.

l think field boots are preferred, actually. Now is the season of used tack sales, l always see tons of boots at those things.

by the way, do not buy rubber boots - they're not worth it. lucky they were out of stock!

what size are you, l have dress boots l will NEVER wear simply because l love my gp field boots!
