If it was my choice l would not sorry! Depending on how mild or how bad it is u decide.
Also it normally gets worse as the horse ages. Sometimes it helps if u do lots of different things with them daily & do not just stick to the one thing, also lots of turnout is good for a horse with shivers too!
We have one horse with shivers at the yard, he is owned by Lucy who hunts & jumps all the gates! He is a 17.2 draft x TB. It is getting worse as he ages but luckily he has mild shivers & just ocassionally stops & pick up his back left leg & shake it for a bit, he then carries on.
I've heard feeding a diet of EPSM helps in some cases. Some horses do need sedating to get there feet done.
It ranges alot, l would suggest u trail the horse & mabye have him on loan for a couple of months before u buy.
