How high have you EVER jumped at the ABSOLUTE highest!??!?

OMG it was like, 30 cm or something ridiculously huge like that.

haha. l am pretty sure I've done some 4'6+ jumps..(BUT most of them have been on greenies jumping a 2' jump - there was one time where l did basically a 4'6 course.the jumps were only 2'6 though lol).

The highest ''actual'' jump I've done is 4' though.

like a bank is much more difficult than a vertical in a ring

We had 1m45 at the end of a simple grid once, l cleared it but nearly fell off afterwards so have not jumped anything near that height again haha. Sticking to the lower jumps =)

3'. Low, l know, but my trainer sucked and l am switching barns, so hopefully l will be jumping higher than that soon enough. :)

l once attempted to kill myself by jumping from the roof of a hotel. l was told it was over 30' tall.

Two foot crosspole. :) But one of my friends thats in the same group lesson as me went on vacation and jumped 4'3''! =D l just started jumping, but l can already tell l love it. =D

About 30+ years ago l took my then 7 year old AQHA gelding to a renown trainer in Norco. Roy Traylor was known for taking on the ''tough'' horses & top trainers in the LA area would send their incorrigible horses to him, such as Jimmy Williams & so on.

Well l took my little gelding (16.2 hh) to him with one thing in mind. l WANTED him to push peanuts & no matter what l did, l could not get him to lower his head.

Roy took one look at the horse & said ''There is NOTHING wrong with him, that is the way God made him & it is physically impossible for him to do that!''. With that he put us on the rail & had us popping over fences. Then he hollered at me to take the triple & as l pointed the big guy towards it, l thought, ''Well we've done 3'9'' & a spread, what is 4'?'' The first of the triple was 4' the second was 5' & the last one was WAY taller than l am ( l am 5'3'') so l was judging it at about 6' & all were stationary jumps!

So, we make our approach, & sail over it! Then after landing, took off for the middle fence (5') & l am still thinkin'.''Well we made it over 4' what is one more foot?''. We jumped it & cleared it! Then after landing from that, l looked at the 6' fence, my faithful horse looked at it & we both said ''NOPE!!!'' & stopped FLAT!

Roy told me to go to on the rail & make the approach again. l knew we were in trouble. l picked up a canter again & headed for the first fence & sailed over it, same with the second fence but as soon as we landed I'd remembered something that sounded like a BB gun getting pumped with air prior to my take off on the first fence. Sure enough, Roy shot my horse in the tush & the two of us SAILED over that last fence!

Upon landing however, l was sitting on the big guy is neck in front of the pommel of my ever faithful Stuben Siegfried ( l still own this saddle!) & my life flashed before me. l was figuring that this guy was going to get even with me for EVERYTHING I'd ever done to him in the past & anything l would ever do to him in the future.

Then, this big horse slowed down to the nicest western pleasure lope I'd ever felt, took that upside down neck & put me right back in the saddle! That was the first time he'd saved somebody is bacon, but in the years following, would not be the last.

i had this feeling my horse was going to run out. & sure enough!! he did!!
it was 4 strides between jumps. l was totally freaked the first time, & let him run out, but the second time l sat the first 2 strides, & at that point l could not go back or run out! l was in my half seat for the last 2 strides & my horse cleared it like it was nothing!! it was fantastic. l was on cloud nine all day!

But l actually like staying lower, as if you get the striding wrong on a jump that big your screwed.

My highest jump was on my 16.3hh TB and it was 5ft 6in

well the jumps we jump ar milkcrate height but my horse jumps like double that!

2 foot 4, and I've only been learning for a few months.

3', but that is b/c the pony l am riding can only jump that high. l am riding better horses now, so, l should jump higher soon.

I've only jumped 3 ft. But my incredibly awesome trainer has jumped like 5 ft 4 inches!
