Ive been riding since May last year.
l can walk,
trot with and without stirrups, on my own and lunge line.
Been cantering for about 8 lessons now,
l can hack in company.
What level am i, and what do l need to be the next level?

l ride ENGLISH so its beginner, novice intermediate or advanced..?

l would say you are an advanced beginner. You need to know ground manners, know how to handle different situations should they arise. It is all about experience not time in the saddle. Your trainer should be able to better tell you what level you are at. When you take lessons you are placed on a horse that is dead broke and able to behave. You will gain more experience when you are capable of handling a greener horse.

l would say you are an Apprentice just pay the 510gold(assuming you are Revered) to upgrade to 150(Journeyman)

Ok riding levels r based on how well u control ur horse in different situations.
Can u sit a buck or rear?

Can u quickly bring a spooking horse under control while staying calm?

What kind of horses do u ride? Are they dead broke wo not spook at anything or r they a harder ride?

l would say ur a advance beginner

There r riders out there who have been riding for years & r only intermediate riders because they only road dead-broke horses. The can walk, trot, canter, gallop, jump 3' but as soon as the horse misbehaves they fall or freak out.

There r only people who have only been riding a couple years & r advance. They have been riding harder horses & learned how to handle buck, rears & spooks.

your probably a level 1 or 2 but usually u do not need to ride at levels unless ur in competition when u ride do it to have fun

hmmm well l say at a level 1-10ur prob about a 5 in the middle once u have been cantering for about a year try galloping it feels like u could fly its really cool when ur horse is a fricken fast speed of lightning like my romeo is if u need advice im probobly the one to ask haha l can trot walk and canter bareback and l can walk trot canter gallop and full bore run with a saddle haha.

What kind of horses do u ride? Are they lesson horses that r pretty muck bomb proof or wo not spook at anything or r they horses that need constant help with balance, roundness ETC.

you are definately a beginner. Assuming that you have good equitation and positon then you must canter without stirrups and jump an 18'' cross rail at the trot or canter a Xrail line to acheive the next level l also NEED A VIDEO in order to tell how good u look on a horse, if ur eq. is good, positioning and all that and the levels ur giving me dont ablige to all english riders every barn makes their own level system up.

Please, l HATE when people try to put a title on themselves. Everyone has a completely different idea of what a 'novice' rider is or what an 'experienced' rider is and therefore slapping a label on yourself just to 'say' you are that experienced is useless and quite frankly annoying.

there are way more levels
like beginner intermediate, advance intermediate and advance so l would say advance beginner

yours till considered a beginner
in order to go up u need to get more steady in ur flat work, then work u way up to jumping basics.
after that, u should learn dressage basics & putting a horse together,
at that point youll be an intermediate rider.
to be advanced they say youd have to be solid at everything, be able to teach a green horse safely & effectivley or another learning rider,

(some people *think* they can) but it really takes years. so prepare yourself for the long hall)
