how can l make my own roundpen using typical home stuff?? l dont have jumps so l cant put those up but do u have any other ideas like using chairs or something lol

use wood and build one.

Chairs wo not last very long so PLEASE do not try it. To make a round pen, use whatever ring you have (rectangle/ square?) and simply block off the corners with chairs and tape and stuff.

for a temporary round pen, get lots of 5 foot posts, stick em in the ground (inside an existing pen, arena, or pasture, because this is in no way impenetrable!) in a circle about 30 feet in diameter, then string orange duct tape between them, so ur horse can see it. This would be appropriate only for a short amount of time & only while u r there. for anything designed to be used for more than a day or two u really need to invest in temporary panels, designed for this purpose. Some things u can safely ''make-shift'' at home, but round pens just r not one one them!

Please. A round pen made out of chars would be a disaster zone around an unpredictable horse!

Barrels would work if you have any, thats what l used for roundpening my colt until l got one. also any extra plywood or leadropes to rope the area off. Good Luck !!!

a round pen should never be smaller than at least 40 ft.

If you're going to ride in it then 50 ft minimum.

get some wood, cedar trees, etc.and build a good rp.

or if u want to go real cheap..imagine the wrecks u might have with whatever u want to make the rp out of, & decide if u want to take the chance.

seriously. u can make an rp out of anything, but u should really consider the worst case scenerio, so u do not get caught by surprise later on.
