I've got a chesnut color horse named oakie.
I am getting a josey flex saddle for my birthday and would like to find a bridle that looks good on my horse.

l need a bridle that will last a while, is not to pricey, and is comfortatiable for my horse.

It is not about what looks good on ur horse.

It is what is comfortable on the horse.
What works for the discipline u r doing.
If u r training ur horse or just riding.
How green or spooky ur horse it.
If he bolts or shys or bucks or rears a lot.
If he usually goes too slow or too fast.
And some other things u need to look into.

Check out some websites about the right bridle for ur horse. It needs to fit properly & work correctly for the discipline & tempermant of ur horse.

l also agree that there r more things that u need to take into consideration other than what simply looks good on ur horse. Sure, that may be one of the things that u take into consideration, but u should also take into consideration what discipline u will be riding in (which l know is western now by looking at the saddle), what works well for ur horse is level of riding, etc. All in all, my favorite type of bridle for ur type of horse is a one-ear headstall. They look really nice & simple & they work well for an all around horse.
