Just trying to get an idea. I am shopping online and most blankets only come in certain sizes - trying to narrow down my options... l will measure her tonight or tomorrow- just have to go buy the darn tape.
BTW- the weight is accurate, from an equine hospital scale.

Most horse blankets come in 69'' as the smallest size. Is that even an option or should l ignore them and stick to pony blankets?

All depends on what his length is. Measure him and then go from there. From his weight l would say you may have to stick with a pony size blanket

Donks are longer than horses so to adequately get anything to fit on them, you have to measure them moreso than horses.

The 69'' might fit.. l think l have a 56'' on my donk and its too small.. hes in the 64'' range. As far as his weight, probably about 550lbs and 12.3h.

hes is[sorry l dont fo inches] 4ft 3 - 4ft 6. sooo.no way would a horse blanket do the job. stick to the pony blankets. wen we frst got him he was in a bad way and was in a 4 ft [just]. bless him.

Well if you wont to be exact. Measure with a plain ole' measuring tape from the middle of the butt to the center of the chest!And l once saw aa blanket that was 44'.Then what ever that estimate is get the blanket size. But be careful if you do not wont to measure you could spend 100Bucks on a blanket that is to big! There really is not a way to tell be weight.
