Were you using oil and blade wash?
Look at the blades are they moving when you turn the clippers on?

As Mulereiner said: ''Are you using oil and bladewash?''
If you do not have any bladewash, you can use Kerosene. Put the blades in the wash and then scrub them down with the wash with a tooth brush. Once dry then put them BACK on your clippers, turn the clippers on, then dunk JUST the blades into the wash again.
Look at your owner is manual for WHERE to put the oil and grease then do so to the motor as well once you've removed all the hair out of it.

If cleaning the blades & oiling/greasing them does not work then u may need to have them tuned up.
Over the years hair & dirt can get trapped in the enclosed body of the clippers & needs to be cleaned out by a professional & the motor tuned up, ESPECIALLY if u have not been washing the blades or using oil. This puts a lot of un-needed strain on the motor. The extra friction & resulting heat can burn out ur motor very quickly.
Also, if nothing happens at all when u turn them on the wires inside the cord may have been severed. Yanking the plug out of the socket by pulling on the cord is a really good way to do that. That is another thing they can help with if u get them tuned up.
DO NOT open the body yourself unless u have a LOT of experience with these kind of small motors. They r very easy to irreparably damage. My big clippers were very nearly destroyed by my trainers well meaning husband who thought he would service my clippers as a thank u for letting her use them all season.

What kind of clipper do u have? Spray the blades with WD-40 frequently. Is your horse DIRTY? blade will not cut dirt well at all. The piece that the blade sits on or clips on to may need to be replaced. l am a groomer go against the grain of the hair it comes off smooth and easier.
