This is the first question I've asked so if its in the wrong place, l apologize. Anyways, due to family problems and weather l have not been able to ride in about 2 weeks and I am not sure when l will be able to ride again. The horse my trainer has me on is sort of green and needs you to be firm. l was wondering if there are any unmounted exercises that would help me stay in shape or get more fit. Any suggestions are appreciated. :)

you should be fine, but any exercise would help. try running, it also relaxes you.

l can appreciate your position,, l found that one of those big rubber bands, using it on my legs,,feet and arms, maDE A BIG DIFFERENCE WHEN l WAS CONVALESCING ONCE,, ALSO TO SAY AGILE YOU CAN PLAY 52 CARD PICK UP ,ON THE BALLS OF YOUR FEET AFTER SEVERAL TIMES A DAY YOU'LL BE SURPRISED AT THE SORENESS!!

walking, jogging, swimming (indoor pool?), sit-ups, push-ups, jumping jacks.. any other normal ''exercise'' that I've forgotten

just doing barn work will help keep you in shape :)

l heard pilates was great any cardio, core, or leg strength work out would help

for me, l feel the most helpful exercises for riding are ones that build up your core and your arms and shoulders. Having a strong core is SUPER helpful for riding
