Causes: Wet boots, dirty boots, improperly fitted boots.

To prevent them, prevent these 3 conditions.

So clean, dry, well-fitted boots :)

Boots too large that turn and rub. Boots too small will chafe. Dirty boots will rub sand and dirt into the skin.
